Who We Are
Attentive care, built on trust, grounded in integrity and experience.
What's behind the name
Magnolia Medical was chosen with intention. The magnolia is a symbol deeply rooted in the South, known for its strength, longevity, and quiet resilience. Unlike many flowering trees, magnolias endure — blooming through challenging conditions while maintaining stability and purpose.
The magnolia flower carries long-standing meanings that closely align with our approach to medicine:
- Perseverance — enduring strength through challenge and change
- Stability — deep roots and long life
- Integrity — consistency, reliability, and sound judgment
- Dignity — quiet confidence without excess
- Care and protection — supporting growth and well-being over time
The magnolia represents the kind of medicine we believe in: steady, thoughtful, and built to last. Care that is not rushed or reactive, but deliberate, consistent, and grounded in sound clinical judgment. It reflects our commitment to caring for patients across seasons of life, not just during moments of illness.
The magnolia was also our wedding flower, giving the name personal meaning. For us it speaks to endurance and lasting commitment. Those values naturally extend into how we practice medicine, as well as how we care for ourselves, each other, and our patients over time.
Why We Chose to Practice in Shreveport
Magnolia Medical was established in Shreveport with purpose and long-term commitment.
Dr. Tingle was born and raised in this community. His medical training and career have been shaped by the patients and families of this region. Choosing to build Magnolia Medical here reflects a dedication to providing high-quality, continuity-based internal medicine to a community that benefits from thoughtful, relationship-centered care.
We believe that excellent medicine is built over time; through consistency, trust, and a deep understanding of patients’ histories and goals. Magnolia Medical was created to be a stable, dependable presence in adult internal medicine care, where patients can feel confident that their care team knows them and will continue to care for them year after year.
Clinical Independence
Care at Magnolia Medical reflects our commitment to attentive care built on trust, guided by integrity and experience- not corporate metrics or volume-driven demands.
For patients, this means care plans shaped by medical judgment and individual needs rather than quotas, standardized scripts, or external pressures. Decisions are made collaboratively by a seasoned physician and nurse with a shared focus on clarity, appropriateness, and long-term outcomes.
This independence allows time for careful listening, thoughtful evaluation, and continuity — especially for chronic conditions that require consistent follow-through and adjustment over time.
Patient Privacy
At Magnolia Medical, patient privacy is central to how we practice medicine. As a small practice, access to medical records is intentionally limited to those directly involved in a patient’s care.
In larger health systems, policies exist to restrict access to patient information, but the reality is that electronic records are often accessible to many employees across departments. At Magnolia Medical, records are accessed only by the physician and nurse caring for the patient, reducing unnecessary exposure of personal health information.
This focused approach supports confidentiality, accountability, and trust, allowing patients to feel confident that their information is handled with care and respect.
Our Commitment
Magnolia Medical is committed to delivering attentive care built on trust, thoughtful clinical judgment, and respect for each patient’s individual needs and goals.
Our aim is to be a dependable, long-term partner in health — a place where patients feel heard, supported, and confident in the care they receive throughout every stage of life.
